As we begin a new year, I’m pleased to share that CREB^® is officially launching our 2026–2030 Strategic Plan — a roadmap shaped by our members, built for our members and designed to light our way over the next five years of growth, innovation and professionalism in our community.

The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) has announced that its annual general meeting (AGM) will take place in Ottawa on Apr. 14, 2026. It's also inviting candidates to run for the following positions on its board of directors:

In the New Year when members review their January statements, they will find that 2026 is the thirteenth consecutive year that their CREB^® dues haven’t gone up.

Our Professional Standards Assurance Team (PSAT) has been busy in 2025, and we are still taking applications from CREB^® members to be part of our administrative justice investigation and hearing panels in 2026. 

Nominations are now closed for the December 2025 CREB^® Board By-election.

Nominations are now open for CREA's Association Executive Network (AEN) Award of Excellence — an honour celebrating professionalism, leadership and service within the REALTOR^® association community.

There's only one day left to nominate yourself or a colleague for the December 2025 By-election, and we encourage all interested members to consider stepping forward.

Members now have until Dec. 5 to share feedback in the CREB^® Member Satisfaction Survey — and be entered to win even more great prizes, including additional coffee gift cards! 

The CREB^® Board of Directors is calling a by-election on Dec. 17, at 3 p.m. after receiving Vivienne Huisman’s resignation effective Nov. 19, 2025.

The Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) has announced that Cynthia P. Moore will assume the role of Board Chair on Dec. 1, 2025 for a three-year term.
