As CREB^®’s Board Chair, I’d like to update members on the Alberta Real Estate Association (AREA) legal proceedings that we informed you about on January 23, 2026.

As my term as the first public director of CREB^® concludes, I want to sincerely thank the members for the opportunity to serve.

Calgary continued to see market conditions vary by property type in February. The tightest conditions occurred in detached and semi-detached properties, reporting less than three months of supply. Row homes reported slightly higher supply levels relative to demand but remained relatively balanced. 

The REALTOR^® trademark is more than a word — it’s a mark of professionalism, trust and accountability. It identifies real estate professionals who are members of The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) and who adhere to a strict code of ethics and high standards of service. 

The results are in. The member satisfaction survey shows steady progress, stronger alignment with member expectations and a solid foundation for the 2026–2030 Strategic Plan.

CREB^® has launched a new webpage outlining the non-member complaint process, providing clear, centralized information about how complaints are submitted, reviewed and managed.

CREB^® received a legal application on Thursday, Jan. 29 regarding the decision to cancel and reschedule the Board of Directors election in November 2025.
