Last week we announced some major updates to the New Professionals Orientation (NPO) program, formerly New Professionals Launch.
These changes are designed to raise the bar on professionalism and help new REALTORS® feel more confident as they navigate the industry.
We've heard concerns about members entering the real estate profession without the necessary preparation or professionalism to succeed—both in client interactions and among colleagues. In response to this feedback, we've made professionalism a cornerstone of our new strategic plan and have strengthened our NPO program to better support member readiness.
As of Oct.1, 2025, new members are required to complete nine mandatory orientation courses instead of five. These program updates will better equip new REALTORS® with the foundational knowledge for kick-starting their careers, engaging with clients and working with other REALTORS®.

The redevelopment of the NPO program began in late 2023 guided by extensive research and input directly from members and industry. Following the approval program proposal in mid-2024, the CREB® Training team began updating the courses and program structure.
Now, as of October 2025, the fully updated NPO program is being launched for all new members joining CREB®, marking a significant step forward in supporting member success from day one.
The program updates and having a renewed focus on professionalism in the strategic plan are direct results of member feedback, and we want to turn your feedback into action for the continuous improvement of the services and programs CREB® offers.
