Thank you to all the members who have volunteered to sit on the 11 CREB^®/REALTORS^® Association of Edmonton (RAE) merger exploration working groups that were announced over the summer.

A couple of weeks ago, governance expert Alli Marshall’s CREB^®Talk article “What the heck is ‘good governance’, anyway?” talked about operational versus strategic governing approaches and the roles of boards of directors in each. 

On Sept. 17, T3 Sixty will hold in-person and online information sessions for CREB^® members about the CREB^®-RAE merger exploration process.

Consistent with trends throughout most of 2026, both sales activity and the number of new listings coming onto the market have continued to trend down compared with 2025 levels. In August, sales in Calgary were 1,660 units, down 16 per cent compared with last year, while new listings fell by nearly 10 per cent to 3,141 units.

In July, we announced that T3 Sixty had been chosen as the consultant that will facilitate the exploration process of whether merging CREB^® and RAE would provide value to members.

CREB^® is now publishing a new series of redacted case summaries based on recent Professional Standards Assurance Team (PSAT) disciplinary decisions.

As we move into the second half of the year, it is not a surprise to see slower market activity. In July, both sales and new listings eased over June levels, declining to 1,904 sales and 3,323 new listings. 

On Sept. 16,  the REALTORS^® Association of Edmonton is hosting RAECON, a full day of professional development, practical learning and networking for REALTORS^®.

In May we announced that CREB^® and the REALTORS^® Association of Edmonton (RAE) had agreed to explore whether a merger of the two organizations would benefit our members. This message is to let you know that we have engaged a consultant, T3 Sixty, to guide us through this exploration.
