National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: Office hours, events and resources

By CREB®
CREB® will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 30 to commemorate National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. This closure extends to all of CREB®, including the Member Support Centre. The Pillar 9™ Help Desk will also be closed.

The CREB® Member Support Centre will reopen on Thursday, Oct. 1 with regular office hours.

Be mindful of closings

Please remember that Sept. 30 is a statutory holiday, so federally regulated businesses in Canada will be closed. This includes banks. Payments Canada has declared this date a payments system closure day, so keep this in mind with clients when considering whether to schedule closings on this day to avoid delays or any complications that may arise.

About National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day are dedicated to honouring Residential School Survivors, their families, and communities, and to recognize the lasting impacts of Canada’s Residential School system.

These commemorations provide an opportunity to deepen Canada’s understanding of the intergenerational effects of residential schools and to reflect on their enduring legacy as part of the ongoing journey toward truth, healing and reconciliation.

There are a number of opportunities across Calgary and Alberta to learn, reflect and participate in events marking the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
