Thanks from Calgary's police chief to CREB® REALTORS®

By CREB®
CREB® recently received an unexpected letter from Chief Katie McLellan of the Calgary Police Service (CPS), and we thought we’d share it with you.

The letter acknowledges how CREB® REALTORS® helped in the search for Parker Wells, the 11-year-old autistic boy who went missing last July. When the CPS asked REALTORS® and sellers to check their vacant listings for Parker, CREB® put out the call and you all stepped up.

From the letter:

“Throughout this challenging time, we saw so many people come together with compassion, generosity and a genuine desire to help. Throughout those days, Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB) was among those who answered that call without hesitation, and for that we are profoundly grateful.

“CREB® played an important role by asking all your realtors to check vacant properties. Your willingness to contribute communications support has supported our community at a time when so many people were looking for ways to help.”

Thank you all for your commitment to the safety of the community and to the well-being of the people who call Calgary and area home.

You can read the full letter here. We also encourage you to share it with the clients whose vacant listings you checked.
