The land title search services currently available through SPIN2 are already available in ARLO, so members can begin using and familiarizing themselves with the new system now.
Two ways to manage and pay for searches on ARLO
As you prepare for the transition to ARLO, you’ll need to decide how search costs will be managed.
Associates who pay for their own searches will be prompted to enter their credit card information for each transaction.
Alternatively, teams and brokerages that want to manage searches through a shared account can use ARLO Pro. This option allows a central account administrator to manage users, permissions and account details in one place.
Get started today! This will allow time to activate accounts, invite users and become familiar with the system before the December transition.
Setting up an Alberta.ca account
SPIN2 or ALTA credentials will not work in ARLO for individual users. Each user must sign in with an Alberta.ca account, which can be created here.
ARLO Pro account set-up
Setting up an ARLO Pro account involves several steps and requires a response from Alberta Land Titles. We recommend starting the process as soon as possible.
To get started, nominate an account administrator by emailing Registries.Modernization@gov.ab.ca with their name and contact information.
After receiving a response from Alberta Land Titles, the account administrator can follow the ARLO Pro Activation Demo Video or Quick Reference Guide under Resources for Pro Account Administrators on the Land Titles modernization resources page.
During onboarding, organizations can also link their Land Titles charge account to their ARLO Pro account.
