It’s Asian Heritage Month! This May, we acknowledge and celebrate the diverse culture and history of Asian communities in Canada and their many achievements and contributions.
The theme for Asian Heritage Month 2026 is: “Honouring Asian Canadians: Stories that Built Canada”.This recognizes the essential contributions Asian Canadians have made to Canada’s social, cultural, and economic life across generations.
In addition, this theme highlights the numerous ways in which Asian individuals, families and communities have helped build Canada and how their stories are a foundational part of our national history.
We encourage all members to learn more about Asian Canadian communities and how they continue to help shape Canada. Here are some events to check out around the city.
