In summary
The changes may affect your business practices in the following ways:
CREB® Rule Part II 10.04 – Time sensitive references on signage
• “Coming Soon” signage is now included in time-sensitive marketing and must be removed once the listing is added to the MLS® System.
CREB® Rule Part II 11.04 – Presentation of multiple offers that include offer(s) by seller’s representative
• When representing a seller in a multiple-offer situation, confirm their instructions in writing.
CREB® Rule Part II 2.04(e) – Photographs and images
• The rule now requires members to ensure they have the legal right to use and post photos on the MLS® System.
CREB® Rule Part III 2.07b) – Accuracy and completeness of information
• Do not remove listing data, including photographs, before changing the status to pending, sold, expired or terminated. This information is vital to the property’s history.
