CREA has flagged that fraudulent messages are being submitted through REALTOR.ca inquiry forms (leads@realtor.ca) and sent to members.

These messages claim that

• Your account has been locked.
• Your listings will be suspended.
• Your payment or identity information needs to be verified.

Please note that these messages are not from REALTOR.ca. To keep your account secure, do not click any links or provide personal, account, or payment information.

If you receive one of these messages:

• Do not click any links or open attachments.
• Do not reply to the message.
• Report the email as phishing through your email provider.
• Delete the message.

If you clicked a link or shared any information, please change the affected passwords immediately and contact your brokerage’s IT support. Contact your financial institution if you provided payment or banking information.

The CREA team is actively investigating and taking steps to prevent further fraudulent messages.
