Strong governance starts with informed, prepared leaders. Under CREB® Bylaws and as part of CREB®’s commitment to effective and accountable governance, members who wish to run for the CREB® Board of Directors are required to complete the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) Leadership courses 100, 200 and 300.
Members considering future leadership roles on a standing committee are encouraged to complete Leadership 100.
Upcoming courses:
- Leadership 100 – Online
A one-hour online course introducing foundational governance and leadership concepts. This course is free for all members and can be taken at any time. Leadership 100 is a prerequisite for Leadership 200 and 300 and is strongly recommended for members serving on standing committees.
In-person offerings:
- Leadership 200 – March 5, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at CREB® Campus
Expands on foundational concepts with a focus on governance roles, strategic oversight and board effectiveness.
- Leadership 300 – March 5, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at CREB® Campus
Covers advanced governance topics, including board dynamics, decision-making and leadership at the director level.
