New enhancements to the Alberta Registry of Land Online (ARLO) system have been announced. These updates will be implemented in April, and are designed to improve efficiency, usability, and access to registry products. 

ARLO will eventually replace SPIN II; however, a closure date for SPIN II has not yet been announced.

Members can create an account to search titles quickly and save condominium plan searches for future reference. Since pulling title is an integral part of the selling and buying processes, these updates are expected to make this task quicker and easier to manage.

What’s new?

ARLO Pro accounts updates:

1. ARLO Pro accounts will be linked to existing Land Titles and Surveys charge accounts. This eliminates the need for per-transaction credit card payments and provides a more efficient billing option. Charge accounts linked to an ARLO Pro account will be invoiced monthly.

2. Organizations can set up ARLO Pro accounts to manage users, permissions, and account details in one place.

3. Organizations can assign account administrators to manage user access and connect, request and maintain charge accounts within ARLO. Self-service account management also allows administrators to invite organizational users, assign roles, update contact information and view billing details for all organizational transactions. 

Survey plan search updates

Survey plans can be searched using the search tool by:

• plan number
• standard and non-standard ATS 

Survey plans can also be located visually using the map tool by:

• plan number
• standard and non-standard ATS 
• polygon (area) search
• hovering over or selecting plans directly on the map

Tip: Previously purchased survey plans can be accessed through order history.
