New price change feature on REALTOR.ca

By CREB®

REALTOR.ca has launched a new Price Change feature designed to give listings greater visibility.

What’s Changing?

When you update the price of a listing, REALTOR.ca will now display:

  • a price change label;
  • the previous price; and
  • the price difference.

This gives buyers more context and can lead to more views and leads.

Practice Reminder: When a seller wants to change their listing price, members are required to get an amendment to the listing contract signed by the seller(s) before updating the MLS® System, as required by CREB® Rule Part III 3.03.

Things to note about the Price Change feature:

1. Six-hour buffer for new listings

If you change the price within six hours of when the listing is posted on REALTOR.ca, the price change label, differential, and previous price will not appear. This lets you fix typos or add early changes without drawing unwanted attention to the listing.

2. Fixing price errors after six hours

If a price is entered incorrectly more than six hours after the listing goes live:

  1. Re-enter the correct price in your MLS. This will update your listing’s latest price with the correct value.
  2. Contact CREB® Member Support at support@creb.ca or 403-781-1379 to remove the last incorrect price. This will ensure your previous price and differential are corrected as well.
