How to access a CREB® lobbybox

By CREB®
The CREB® Lobbybox Program utilizes a centralized wall-mounted lockbox that houses the main door key/fob at participating condominiums.

This provides better building security than having REALTOR® lockboxes exposed outside.

Overtime, we will replace older lobbyboxes with a wall-mounted SentriLock lockbox. So, when you enter a property with a lobbybox, don't be alarmed if you see one of the newer model lockboxes on the wall. Any new builds with a lobbybox will have the SentriLock lockbox wall-mounted in the main entrance.

Lobbybox usage:

  • Before you go, check our Lobbybox List to see where the lobbybox is installed at the condominium and for any special instructions.
  • Upon arriving, locate the lobbybox, open it using your SentriKey® Real Estate app, and retrieve the available key/fob to gain access to the building.
  • Only take the key/fob with you if it’s required for elevator access to the unit’s floor. Otherwise, place the key/fob securely back in the lobbybox after opening the main entrance.
  • If you need to take the key/fob with you for the showing, place a business card inside the lobbybox to let the next REALTOR® know that the key/fob is in use and not missing.
  • Never leave the lobbybox open for any reason.

If there is no key/fob or business card in the lobbybox, please contact CREB® immediately at support@creb.ca. We can check to see when the key/fob was last used and determine if it is currently in use or if we need to launch an investigation for a missing key/fob.

What if a REALTOR® from another board or a non-licensed real estate professional needs access?

We have a form for that! Fill out the Lobbybox Access Request Form and send it back to support@creb.ca to have an access code issued.

Access codes are only valid for one hour after initial use. If the appointment may take longer than one hour, please let CREB® Member Support (support@creb.ca) know right away so that a second code can be provided.
