CREB® Advocacy in the Municipal Election

By CREB®
The Calgary civic election is a pivotal opportunity for Calgarians to shape housing policy that reflects their needs.

Today, CREB® launched YYC Votes 2025, an advocacy campaign, on behalf of the membership, to raise the profile of housing issues in the 2025 civic election, as well as to demonstrate the expertise that REALTORS® bring to their clients and to the discussion about how to solve Calgary’s housing challenges. The specific areas the Government Relations Standing Committee has identified to highlight are:

  • Planned Growth
  • Blanket Rezoning
  • Barriers to Homeownership
  • Increases in Property Tax
  • Digital Energy Labeling

The campaign includes media outreach and communications to mayoral and councillor candidates to raise these issues and position CREB® and REALTORS® as trusted experts on how to solve them.
