The central inquiry of our recently launched future of the CREB® MLS® System survey calls for your help defining ‘best in MLS®.’ We're seeking input from every member and their unlicensed assistants who use the MLS® System to delineate the essential features of this crucial business tool.

Did you know CREB® has a process for managing collapsed sales on the MLS® System? When a deal collapses, members are required to report the collapsed sale to the board. 

On December 19, we shared that the 10 Alberta Real Estate Boards had agreed to phase out the Temporary Rule Relaxations that were in place to support the health and safety of our communities during the COVID-19 Pandemic. 

We understand that many questions come with implementing a new policy, such as the REALTOR® Cooperation & Public Advertising Rule (CREB® Rule Part II 6.06). 

With the provincial government signalling the conclusion of the pandemic status by lifting community health and safety protocols, stakeholders in the real estate sector, including sellers, buyers, occupants, and agents, are increasingly at ease with accommodating property showings.

The REALTOR® Cooperation Policy takes effect on Jan. 3, and CREB® is getting you ready for it. The 10 Alberta real estate boards have established a harmonized rule and approach to fulfill the requirements of CREA's policy, which states, "Boards and Associations operating MLS® Systems must adopt and enforce this policy in their MLS® System Rules or an equivalent policy."
