While medical advances have dramatically improved the survival rates of people who suffer critical illnesses, recovery may come with a significant financial cost. This is why we created the Critical Illness Benefit Society (CIBS).
CIBS offers a one-time, tax-free benefit of $12,500 to qualified CREB® members facing hardships associated with medical costs due to a life-changing illness.
Members have a maximum of two years from the date of diagnosis to submit a claim. Once a claim is approved, members will receive payments several working days later.
To date, CIBS has supported 346 CREB® members, providing $3,901,608 in critical need benefits.
