Rob tendered his resignation just before the holidays after learning that director Kurtis Bain intended to accept a position at the same brokerage, CIR Realty. CREB® bylaws state that no more than two directors from one brokerage can sit on the board at the same time.
We thank Rob for his many contributions and for being such an honest and thoughtful voice on the board of directors, always fearlessly and passionately serving CREB® members.
As Rob eloquently stated in his full resignation letter to Chair Christian Twomey:
“I was deeply honoured when the BDLSC nominated me last spring and I hope that I have proved worthy of that support and confidence in my candidacy. I also thoroughly enjoyed serving on the Board of Directors and have gained incredible respect for the integrity and leadership you have provided as Chair, and for the entire Board of Directors. Over the last year you and this group of Directors have provided a “Master Class” in leadership, as you navigated extremely contentious issues on behalf of our members with careful consideration, professionalism, passion and grace.”
By-election details:
- Nominations open at 9 a.m. on Feb. 8 and close at 4 p.m. on Feb. 15.
- Candidate page opens at 9 a.m. on Feb. 22, and you will be able to learn about each nominee.
- The by-election will take place electronically from Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. to Feb. 29 at 4 p.m.
The term of office for the candidate begins immediately and ends on Dec. 31, 2025.
