Nominations for the director by-election are now open. Your nominations are important to help build a strong board of member leaders who want to make a real impact and have a vision for the future of CREB®.
This by-election was called to fill a vacant position on the board of directors.
Following the resignation of Rob Campbell, effective January 1, 2024, the board has initiated plans to ensure continued representation and leadership within the organization.
Rob Campbell, a dedicated board member, tendered his resignation in light of compliance with CREB® bylaws, which restrict the number of directors from a single brokerage to maintain diversity and fair representation.
The current by-election presents an opportunity for members to actively participate in shaping the future direction of CREB®. Here are the key dates:
- Nominations open: Feb. 8, 9 a.m. (MST)
- Nominations close: Feb. 15, 4 p.m. (MST)
- Candidate page opens: Feb. 22, 9 a.m. (MST)
- By-election voting period: Feb. 28, 4 p.m. to Feb. 29, 4 p.m. (MST)
To serve on the board, candidates must:
- Be a CREB® member in good standing;
- Complete Leadership 100, 200 & 300;
- Not have been subject to RECA or CREB® penalty in the last 24 months;
- Self-nominate or be nominated by a member; and
- Be elected by CREB® members.
During the by-election, members can review candidate profiles and make informed decisions regarding their preferred representation on the board. The successful candidate will assume office immediately, serving until Dec. 31, 2025.
CREB® encourages all eligible members to consider nominating candidates or participating in voting to ensure robust representation and effective leadership within the organization. Your engagement is vital in shaping the future of CREB® and advancing the interests of its diverse membership.
