If you are travelling outside of North America for the holidays and want access to Pillar 9™ tools, you need to have a secure virtual private network (VPN) connection.
CoreLogic has implemented some regional blocking due to current global security issues which includes many countries outside of North America. If you need to work while out of the country, it is recommended that you use a secure VPN so your access to Pillar 9™ tools and technology will not be blocked.
What is a secure VPN?
A VPN is a secure tunnel between your device and the internet. It is called a secure VPN connection because it’s encrypted and protected against external attacks.
Without a VPN, your unencrypted traffic is visible to others and may be vulnerable to manipulation, especially on unsecured public networks. That’s why using a VPN is an easy way to instantly improve your online security, no matter where you are.
Why has CoreLogic implemented new blocking?
This CoreLogic security enhancement was implemented in October 2022 to prevent hacking from high-risk regions around the world.
How do I get a VPN?
If you don’t already have one installed, Pillar 9™ has recommended a few well-known options for VPN below.

There are many options out there at different price points that could be used, but they need to have a North American server. Your local brokerages might offer options for free or have an IT department that can assist you with installing a VPN.
The VPN will need to be installed and enabled on your device prior to departure so you can continue access Matrix™, OnePlatform, pillarnine.com, and a few other programs that use Clareity for login.
