Board meeting highlights
Here are some highlights from the Board of Directors Meeting Reports on Jan. 20, 2022 and March 25, 2022:
- The board approved a two-year agreement with ShowingTime™ that will ensure our members have the best business tool for showing management on the market. The negotiated terms in our direct agreement with ShowingTime™ uniquely prohibits them from sharing our data with any third party, including their parent company.
- Alec Milne from Framework Analytics joined the Board of Directors to review the 2022 CREB® Member Satisfaction Survey results. Overall, survey responses were quite favorable with 76 per cent of CREB® members indicating they are satisfied or very satisfied with the services they receive.
- AREA’s Change Management Group requested that AREA engage the membership in the conversation about managing multiple offers.
- CREB®’s Government Relations Team took part in the Mayor’s Housing Advisory Round Table and the City’s consultation around digital energy labeling. They also held a workshop with a special presentation from Alberta Ecotrust. The team will take part in CREA’s PAC at home sessions, providing an opportunity to engage local MPs.

About CREB® BOD meeting reports
In February 2020, the board of directors began generative discussions on how to best communicate topics being covered at the board table.
After a detailed review, the Governance Standing Committee made a recommendation to amend the CREB® Governance Manual Policy 2.1.6 Board Meeting Policy to require the posting of a board meeting report. Now, following each board meeting, a meeting report will be shared with members that summarizes what was discussed.
