This week’s bulletin includes information about reopening the CREB® building and an update on open houses.
Reopening CREB®’s doors
This Thursday, June 10, the front doors of the CREB® building (300 Manning Road N.E.) will be unlocked and members will be able to once again visit the Member Services Centre (MSC) without an appointment.
This decision was made in alignment with Alberta’s Open for Summer Plan, as the province moves into Stage 2 on June 10.
From there, we will systematically begin to offer select in-person services, such as education offerings. Specific dates are dependent on the province’s Open for Summer Plan and will be announced over the coming weeks.
Please remember that during Stage 2 all safety protocols, such as mask wearing and physical distancing, will be in effect at CREB®.
Under Stage 3 of the province’s plan, we will embrace a more normalized state where the CREB® building is fully open and all in-person services can resume.

Important reminder: Open houses
As the Province of Alberta looks forward to entering Stage 2 of their Open for Summer plan, CREB® members and their clients can also look forward to the return of in-person open houses.
The Alberta Real Estate Association (AREA) has announced that starting Thursday, June 10, real estate professionals may resume walk-in services and open houses.
However, prior to June 10, the following open house restrictions remain in place:
- By appointment only.
- Limited to two family-unit members at a time.
- Masks are mandatory during the showing.
- Additional seller instructions must be followed.
Please ensure that you continue to utilize alternative options to in-person open houses until the ban is lifted on June 10.

Second dose COVID-19 vaccinations
Last week, Premier Jason Kenney and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw announced new timelines for COVID-19 vaccine second doses. Eligibility is dependent on when you received your first vaccine dose and which vaccine you received.
