CREB®'s next phase of re-entry

By CREB®

After conducting extensive research based on staff and member feedback, public health guidelines and the current conditions within Calgary, we have confirmed our next phase of re-entry to the CREB® building.

Phase 1 of our re-entry plan began on July 15. During this phase, we welcomed back key Member Support staff and some of the leadership team to work in the building. Members no longer required an appointment to visit the Member Services Centre and a COVID-19 policy was introduced for our staff to follow.

Based on the success of phase 1 and the information we have collected thus far, we are moving forward with phase 2 of our re-entry plan. Phase 2 will begin on Monday, Oct. 5.

In phase 2, some additional staff members will return to work in the CREB® building. Members will still be welcome to visit the Member Services Centre and our COVID-19 policy will continue to be in place for CREB® staff.

Our final wave of employees will return to the workplace when phase 3 is identified, which is contingent on the Government of Alberta's relaunch strategy and the success of phase 2. Building access restrictions may also be eased in phase 3 based on the public health measures at that time.

As a reminder, we ask CREB® members to align with our collective effort to protect the health and safety of everyone in the building.

Here are some basic expectations for everyone to understand and follow:

  • All members and employees will be asked to complete a self-screening questionnaire before entering the building.
  • Access to CREB® will not be permitted if you are exhibiting symptoms of illness.
  • With the exception of the main entry, all exterior doors will remain locked as well as access doors to various departments within the building. Members are asked to use the main entrance only.
  • The building (main entrance) is open in a controlled manner allowing strictly managed member access to the Member Services Centre only.
  • Access to all other areas of the building, including washrooms, will be restricted. Our washrooms unfortunately have to be closed to members and the public for the time being.
  • Traffic flow to the Member Services Centre will be strictly managed to maintain appropriate physical distancing protocols with a guided walkway that uses directional signage and floor decals.
  • Loitering is not encouraged or allowed. All tables and chairs have been removed from the atrium.
  • Plexiglass barriers have been installed at the Member Services Centre.
  • Wearing a mask or face covering is required to enter the building.
  • Masks, hand sanitizer and gloves will continue to be made available for staff and members in the building.
  • Avoid touching your face (specifically your eyes, nose, and mouth) as much as possible.
  • Cover your mouth when coughing, sneezing, and yawning by doing so into the bend of your arm, not your hand.
  • Avoid touching surfaces people touch often.
  • Instead of a handshake, give a friendly wave or elbow bump.

Given the fluidity of the situation, these details are subject to change based on the current public health guidance, with a reassessment of policies and activities as we approach October.
