RFAP going provincial

By CREB®

A strong support system has long been part of real estate culture, and now that community is about to get a little bigger as the REALTOR® and Family Assistance Program (RFAP) goes provincial.

That’s right, we’ve worked with our partners at the Alberta Real Estate Association (AREA) who will now be taking point on program facilitation for all Alberta REALTORS® going forward.

AREA has sent a separate communication about the process to access support, which is something that we think is particularly crucial right now for the wider industry and community of real estate professionals.

Important takeaway—CREB® members can expect the same level of service experience and support they’ve come to expect from RFAP.

This includes free, confidential, anonymous counselling and support related to a wide variety of topics, including relationships, depression and anxiety, stress management, grief and bereavement, work and family balance, parenting, gambling, substance use and work-related problems.

The RFAP can also offer support in areas of childcare and eldercare, career planning, financial and legal consultation.

Administered by Homewood Health, the RFAP is completely confidential. Information obtained from individuals who use the program will not be released to AREA or any other entity.

Family members can also access the program independently with services available to spouses, partners and children.

To get started, call 1-800-663-1142, or sign up at www.homeweb.ca.
