Changes to multi-unit listings on matrix

Oct 12, 2018

Member requested - member tested - member driven

By CREB®
On Oct. 23 CREB® will make changes to multi-unit listings in Matrix™.

The new changes will mean:

  • If a member wants to sell four or less units, they will post an attached residential listing on Matrix™ and will then be prompted to identify if the property is a duplex, triplex, fourplex or assembly sale. Followed by another new data field that will identify the number of units for sale: two, three or four.
  • If a member wants to sell five or more units, they will post a commercial listing on Matrix™ and must be licensed to sell commercial real estate.
  • If you a member currently has multi-unit listings posted, their listings will be migrated to the new multi-unit structure.

In 2016 changes were initially made to multi-unit listings as part of the migration of commercial listings into Matrix™. Since then, CREB® has received feedback from members asking for changes and limits on commercial listings.

As part of continually enriching the member experience, CREB® adopted these changes after recently hosting a member-driven test group.

The multi-unit listings changes will come into effect on Oct.23.

Watch this short video for a quick explanation of the new multi-unit features.
