CREB® REALTOR® Community Foundation has awarded $75,000 in grant funding to the Calgary John Howard Society, Kerby Centre and L’Arche Association of Calgary. 

This summer, over 40 REALTORS® came together across five days to volunteer with some of our Legacy Grant recipients.

According to the latest numbers from the federal government, 1.7 million people are in housing need across Canada, living in homes that are inadequate or unaffordable. Another 25,000 Canadians are chronically homeless.

Applications are now open for CREB® REALTOR® Community Foundation’s Legacy, Community and Transformation Grants to support local housing- and shelter-related initiatives.

To reach their full potential, children and families require a healthy, safe, secure and nurturing environment.

Since its inception in 2003, the Calgary Dream Centre has been helping people recover and rebuild their lives after struggles with addiction and homelessness.

For over 40 years, Sonshine Community Services has been providing a variety of supports – including housing, counselling and childcare – to women and children who are fleeing family violence in the Calgary area.
