The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) is now accepting applications for its 2025-2026 committees!

Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) members voted in favour of making REALTOR.ca a taxable wholly owned subsidiary of CREA at the 2024 Special General Meeting held on October 23, 2024.

On Oct.8, we asked our members to complete a survey or drop in to a Directors Chat at CREB® Campus to voice their opinions about CREA’s proposal to turn REALTOR.ca into a wholly owned taxable subsidiary.

On Oct. 23, CREB® Board Chair Christian Twomey and Chair-Elect Susanita de Diego will represent CREB® at the CREA SGM that is being held to vote on CREA’s proposal to turn REALTOR.ca into a wholly owned taxable subsidiary.

On September 25, CREA sent the statement below to all boards and associations, and asked that we share it with our REALTOR® members. CREB® is monitoring the situation closely and will provide updates as they become available.

On September 16, CREA sent an email to members informing them of changes to mortgage rules announced by the federal government, along with a blueprint for a Home Buyers’ Bill of Rights.
