How do you approach technology in your business? Do you just do what you need to “get by”, or are you doing what you can to exploit the full potential of the available tools?

We’re nearly two weeks removed from the big celebration, but we won’t stop, because we can’t stop feeling the reverberations from an epic night at the 2017 ROAR Awards—man, did we ROAR!

We promised to keep the conversation going and that’s exactly what we did at Wednesday’s town hall—thanks to an incredible turnout from CREB^® members and industry representatives alike.

About a week ago, I had a call from a very cerebral and engaged member who was frustrated by the number of pictures of snowy homes in our MLS^® System. 

So, how are you getting along with RECA’s Residential Measurement Standards (RMS)?

There’s a burgeoning buzz around big data, but what is it really? A new way of exploring analytical information? A cross-section of different statistics? A process of layering data points to create new knowledge? Or, all of the above? 

Every year, we honour our members who have committed their time to CREB^® and the community at our Volunteer Recognition Board Builders Luncheon. 

Some of our members have been experiencing great frustration with our new Key Management System (KMS) and it pains me to see this happening. 

Unlike some organizations, we don’t view our annual general meeting (AGM) as being somewhat like a root canal. We hope you don’t either!

Many years ago, I read a guest CREB^® Talk article by a fellow CREB^® member who explained the importance of donating platelets. At the time, I didn’t know much about this particular giving option for Canadian Blood Services (CBS), but soon my wife Rona and I were regulars. 

It’s very gratifying to see that so many members “get it” when it comes to database integrity. Every day, I see examples of members challenging each other to do better.

As the saying goes, two heads are better than one. We know it to be true and that’s why we’re getting ready to reach out to you—the members of CREB^®. We need your input to help chart our next four year strategic plan—the document that will serve as CREB^®’s road map to 2021.
